Ithaca families and community are invited to enjoy sounds of the season presented by our Ithaca bands and choir on Monday, December 11th beginning at 7pm for a combined concert. The 5th grade, 6th grade, 7th/8th, and Ithaca High School Bands under the direction of Mrs Mary Beth Behrens will perform, as well as the 6th, 7th/8th, and Ithaca High School Choirs under the direction of Mrs Elaine Stafford. This day in history: John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States, is assassinated in 1963 while traveling through Dallas, Texas, in an open-top convertible. As the vehicle passed the Texas School Book Depository Building at 12:30 p.m., Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly fired three shots from the sixth floor, fatally wounding President Kennedy and seriously injuring Governor Connally. Kennedy was pronounced dead 30 minutes later at Dallas’ Parkland Hospital. He was 46.

Students who shoot a deer this season, buck or doe, can send a picture to Mr. Klang at klandav@ithaca.k12.wi.us to be entered. Pictures will be placed near Mr. Klang’s door. Prizes will be given for the biggest buck and a random drawing to all who enter. This includes archery season, youth season, and gun season.

The Ithaca Elf Shop provides a way for elementary students to "shop" for a gift for their loved ones. With the help of staff and older students, the elementary children pick their gifts and the gifts are wrapped for gift giving at home. Ithaca Elf Shop is seeking gently used, clean, unbroken items donated to the cause. Items should be small enough for students to carry home and will be priced for young shoppers. If you'd like to help by donating, please drop off donated items at the school office between 8am and 3pm on any school day from today until December 8. Thank you for supporting our students.
Ithaca Public Schools will celebrate all we are thankful for by releasing students early on Wednesday, November 22nd. Staff and students will not have school on Thursday and Friday, November 23rd and 24th. Classes will resume as normal on Monday, November 27th.
