Congratulations to our Trunk-or-Treat winners: 1st place - Justin Manning Family, 2nd place - Sabrina Fargen Family, and 3rd place - Brittany Penfield Family.
It was a great evening, with a great turn out. We had roughly 56 people in attendance with 8 decorated trunks. Remember we do this annually, so you have plenty of time to think about your design for next year! Check out the Ithaca PTSO Facebook page for more photos, upcoming events, and meetings. The Ithaca PTSO is open to all staff and Ithaca parents/guardians.





The Ithaca/RC Horse Club will be competing in the WIHA (Wis Interscholastic Horsemanship Association) State Competition on October 27-29. This event will be held at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
The following Ithaca students will be attending and participating: Senior- Josie Laue, Juniors- Maggie Kershner and Arianna Louis, Freshman- Annabeth Sprecher and 8th grader- Ellie Otto. RC student: 8th grader- Esme Rohn. Our Horse team coaches are: Jennifer Laue and Kathleen Schoen.
These riders and their horses will be competing in the following events: Trail, Ranch Riding, Showmanship classes, Bareback, Walk/Trot, Saddle Seat and Hunt Seat Equitation, Hunter Hack, Western Horsemanship, Barrels, Poles, Key Race and Two-Person Relay.

Congratulations to the Richland Center/Ithaca Cross Country teams! On Saturday, October 21st they competed at the sectional meet hosted by LaCrosse Logan on the Maple Grove Country Club grounds. The boys team placed 3rd overall and missed State as a team by a single place. The girls ran great and finished 5th overall. Richland Center/Ithaca did advance three runners! Ryan Stadler, Clayton Lee, and Kaylee Peterson all qualified for the State Championship race. Ryan placed 4th overall in the boys race, while Clayton Lee placed 9th. Kaylee Peterson placed 3rd overall in the girls race. They will take on the State’s best runners in Wisconsin Rapids on Saturday.

The 2023 WIAA State Cross Country meet is held at the Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids. Tickets are only sold and available online from a mobile phone at https://gofan.co/event/1111684?schoolId=WIAA2. Ryan and Clayton will race in the Division 2 boys race at 12:35pm. Kaylee will race in the Division 2 girls race at 2:25pm. Be aware that there is NOT general parking permitted at the race course, so plan accordingly to account for park-and-ride or walking time.

Just a reminder to Ithaca families that tomorrow, Friday, October 20th there is NO SCHOOL. This scheduled day off is in response to the two nights of parent/teacher conferences this week. There is no school for students and also staff.


The Ithaca Lions Club will hold a pancake breakfast fundraiser on November 12 from 7 AM to 1 PM at the Ithaca School Commons. $10 for adults, $5 for students, with pre schoolers free. All proceeds will go to Summer Roh. There will be a bake sale and auction and the breakfast will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, applesauce, cheese, ham and milk. Youth football for 3rd-5th graders has begun, but there’s still time to participate! Meet at the football field for practice from 6pm-7pm. A generous football fan will throw a pizza party for the players in the grade that has the highest percentage of participation for all 6 practices. These practices are meant to be a fun way to explore and grow in football. Bring a friend! Practices are 10/19, 10/23, and 10/26 from 6pm until 7pm on the HS football field. There is currently a Brewhaha Roasters coffee fundraiser going on right now until October 20th. Find your favorite band or choir student to get your locally roasted whole bean or ground coffee. Funds raised support spring band and choir trips directly to that student! Money will be collected at the time of ordering, and delivery will be in time for Christmas gifts! Return forms and money to Mrs Thompson.

The PTSO will hold their annual Trunk-or-Treat on October 20. Trunk decorating will be from 4:30-5 pm and trunk-or-treating will be from 5-6 pm. This will be held in the North parking lot of the high school. If any trunk decorator needs candy to be provided, please reach out to Samantha Hilby at hilbsam@ithaca.k12.wi.us.
