The Ithaca District Nurse would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Cardinal CG! They generously donated 5 LifeVac's to the Ithaca School District. LifeVac is a non-invasive airway clearance device designed to remove airway obstructions in a victim that is choking when current choking protocols have been followed without success. While we hope we never have to use them, thanks to Cardinal CG we now have them if they are ever needed, adding an extra layer of safety and protection for the Ithaca student's staff and community.

Congratulations this past weekend to the Ithaca WIHA team! They had a very successful weekend at district and will be advancing to state competition. State competition will be held Oct 25-27 at the Alliant Energy Center- Madison, WI.

Teachers at Ithaca were given books from the national Pura Belpre book committee. In 2023, our school librarian, Emily Zorea, served on this committee and was sent boxes of books by publishers. Each book was considered for an award. The award winners were announced earlier this year, and these books now will have a second role in building classroom libraries.

The Ithaca WIHA team (WI Interscholastic Horsemanship Association) will compete in District competition this weekend in Oshkosh, WI. Classes they will compete in are: Trail, Showmanship (Western & English), Bareback, Walk/Trot, Lead Change Challenge, Horsemanship, Poles, Barrels, Flags and Two-Person Relay.

On September 27, 1938, President Franklin Roosevelt writes to German Chancellor Adolf Hitler regarding the threat of war in Europe. The German chancellor had been threatening to invade the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia and, in the letter, his second to Hitler in as many days, Roosevelt reiterated the need to find a peaceful resolution to the issue.
Mrs. Kitsembel's Kindergarteners are doing amazing things each day at Ithaca! They're working together to complete tasks, learning patience at the carpet, enjoying "read a-louds", creating fabulous creations with counting blocks, and most importantly, having fun while learning!

The Ithaca School Fair will be held on Saturday, October 12 and the theme this year is “Welcome to the Jungle!”. The Bulldog Block Challenge 6K Run/3K Walk will begin at 7 AM on Saturday, October 12. Meet in the Ithaca Town Hall Garage. You can still enter up until the day of the race, but shirts will not be guaranteed. Parents/guardians are informed of field trips via permission slips. Unlike an athletic event or music concert, field trips are not open invitations for the general public to attend. Therefore, as a safety precaution, field trips will no longer be listed on the calendar on the District’s website.
