The sign-up sheet for middle school boys basketball is now up on the office window. Practice will start October 23rd after school. Coaches Ihm and Jones look forward to a great season!
On Monday the Junior and Senior students had an opportunity to attend the WI Education Fair at UW-Platteville. They were able to explore post-secondary options. Over 100 representatives from all over WI and afar displayed their college information for our students to learn more about. We also had a short session to hear about UW-Platteville and what they have to offer.
After the Education Fair we stopped at Meister Cheese for a tour of their facility. The students had a great learning experience about what Meister Cheese has to offer and how cheese is made and prepared. Not only do they offer all kinds of tasty cheese flavors, but they have many different job opportunities and are a growing company.
We thank the UW Platteville Campus and Meister Cheese for investing in our students! It was a great day!

Everyday our breakfast crew serves and supervises breakfast in the multi-purpose room (it truly IS a multi use area!) - Thanks ladies!!

Word of the Day: Faze: To faze someone is to disturb their composure. Faze is a synonym of disconcert and daunt. My grandfather was a stolid individual who was not easily fazed by life's troubles.
This day in history: On October 18, 1867, the U.S. formally takes possession of Alaska after purchasing the territory from Russia for $7.2 million, or less than two cents an acre. Indigenous peoples settled the unforgiving territory thousands of years earlier. The Alaska purchase comprised 586,412 square miles, about twice the size of Texas, and was championed by William Henry Seward, the enthusiastically expansionist secretary of state under President Andrew Johnson.
