A message from Shelly Pluemer, Ithaca School Social Worker Our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Take care of the whole person! Recognize signs of wellness as well as signs of unwellness, in yourself and those around you. "Research has shown that teaching the skills of kindness to students and adults, while creating a community that provides a sense of belonging, can significantly reduce the number of kids struggling with mental health." Thanks to the dedication of our music families and the generosity of our community and alumni, the meals were a tremendous success. The funds raised at these meals help offset costs for spring band and choir trips as well as classroom needs for our music instructors, band and choir directors. If you are interested in becoming an active member of the Ithaca Music Boosters, "like" the Ithaca Band or Ithaca Choirs Facebook pages or catch updates in the daily announcements as meetings are listed there.
