The Ithaca Elf Shop provides a way for elementary students to "shop" for a gift for their loved ones. With the help of staff and older students, the elementary children pick their gifts and the gifts are wrapped for gift giving at home. Ithaca Elf Shop is seeking gently used, clean, unbroken items donated to the cause. Items should be small enough for students to carry home and will be priced for young shoppers. If you'd like to help by donating, please drop off donated items at the school office between 8am and 3pm on any school day from today until December 8. Thank you for supporting our students.

Ithaca Public Schools will celebrate all we are thankful for by releasing students early on Wednesday, November 22nd. Staff and students will not have school on Thursday and Friday, November 23rd and 24th. Classes will resume as normal on Monday, November 27th.
Ithaca 5th Grade students wrote letters to their national senators in Library class. These students practiced citizenship skills. They learned about the three branches of government, watched videos of senate debates, and took virtual tours of the United States Capitol, the White House, and the Supreme Court building. Students researched who their national senators are, and how to find their contact information on the senators' websites. Each wrote a personal letter to either Senator Ron Johnson, or Senator Tammy Baldwin, about an issue that they care about. They also learned how to address a physical envelope, and how to write their letter respectfully presenting their opinions. Topics included hunting and fishing, funding for schools, laws about pet ownership, and school lunches.
A group of ten Ithaca High School students recently attended the Fall Externship Day. This field trip allowed great opportunities to meet industry professionals and learn about the high-demand career path of an Operating Engineer. Enjoy the photos showcasing their experience!

Cazenovia Hunter Safety class is now open for registration on gowild.wi.gov. This year classes will be held at the Cazenovia Fire Station. Class will be limited to 12. The first class date will be Sunday, Nov 26th at 7:00 pm for material handout and information. A parent /guardian must accompany all students under 18 on Sunday to sign student consent forms. Class will then be Monday, Nov 27th, Tuesday 28th, Thursday 30th, Friday, Dec 1st, and Saturday Dec 2nd. Weekday classes will be from 6:00p-8:00p with Saturday being test day from 10:00a-12:00p.
