This past weekend 3 Ithaca /Weston Track athletes qualified for the State Indoor Championships @ UW-Whitewater. Congratulations to Channing Brown, Kaylee Peterson, and Tristen Peterson for competing in an all division meet with 1,484 top athletes in the state of Wisconsin. High school FFA meeting today, April 8th during Attack. Officer team and chairman will meet at lunch Tuesday, April 9.
From Forensics coaches:
The State Contest is quickly approaching on Friday, April 19th. All performers should be working on their own daily and at least once weekly with a coach! We will have a team meeting today Monday, April 8th during attack time in the LMC.

High school choir students who are going on the choir field trip on Wednesday, April 10th, must get their permission slips and money in to Ms. Okus by Monday, April 8th at the end of the day.

Congratulations to Kaylee Peterson, Tristen Peterson, and Channing Brown who qualified for and will be competing in the State Indoor Track & Field meet tomorrow, April 6th at UW-Whitewater. Competition includes athletes from all divisions from all around the state. Good luck!
From Ms Sprecher:
Congratulations to all the FFA Career Development contest participants. We have Four teams that qualified to compete at the state competition. Livestock placed 3rd led by 3rd place Individual Logan Anderson and includes Violet Dilley, Bailey Wanless and Annabeth Sprecher.
The Agronomy team of Darin Nelson, Wesley Nelson, Caleb Birkrem and Sam Jones placed 4th. The all freshman team of Milk Products placed 4th led by the 5th place individual Kerrick Thompson and includes Jacey Maxwell, Ethan Birkrem and Maylee Pluemer. Ag Mechanics of Alex Evans, Landon Thompson, Tyler Steinmentz and Isaiah Fargen placed 6th.
Middle School FFA will meet Thursday, April 11, during ATTACK in Ms. Sprecher’s room.

Popcorn Friday will be this today! Elementary students, your classroom teacher will take your order and money. Middle School and High School students you will be able to purchase yours during breakfast, at the end of your hallways. Cost is $0.50 per bag, limit 2 bags per person. Help support the 4th grade class!

THIS DAY IN HISTORY: Just after 6 p.m. on April 4, 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. is fatally shot while standing on the balcony outside his second-story room at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee. The civil rights leader was in Memphis to support a sanitation workers’ strike and was on his way to dinner when a bullet struck him in the jaw and severed his spinal cord. King was pronounced dead after his arrival at a Memphis hospital. He was 39 years old.

Tonight's meet at River Ridge has been postponed due to weather. A rescheduled date has not been determined, should Ithaca be able to attend. Track-sters will still practice tonight at Ithaca 3:30pm. Thursday Ithaca will travel to RC for the GRIT meet. Details soon to follow. Stay tuned!
