The 2024 WIAA State Cross Country results are in! This year also marked the 50th anniversary of the first girls WIAA State Cross Country meet. Richland Center/Ithaca qualifiers did very well! Ithaca High School junior, Clayton Lee placed 98th out of 152 runners with a time of 17:59.1. Grace Fretz, RCHS junior, placed 92nd out of 152 runners, and Ryan Stadler, RCHS junior, placed 61st. This was the second year at the state meet for Lee and Stadler. Congratulations to you all!

From Mr. James Nee's Ithaca Welding Program: The Introduction to Welding classes have had a “weld off” the past two Fridays. This consists of the welding students competing to produce a satisfactory weld, with visual criteria. This week's weld was a “T” joint in the 2F position. Students completed this weld using a MIG welder. Congratulations to this week's winners! Third period: 1st place: Abby W., 2nd place: Maggie K., 3rd place: Hewsten G-B. Holly King, Peyton Brown, Kailey Newkirk, and Trista Pluemer achieved a Certification in Microsoft Word this week. The students can list the certification on their resume to show future employers they are proficient using MS Word. Holly, Peyton, Kailey, and Trista will be studying for the Microsoft Excel exam next.

The Ithaca School District will offer TWO spectator buses for the Friday upcoming playoff football game at Johnson Creek. We will offer a student AND a community member bus. Student sign-up is located in the school office. Please call the Ithaca office if you would like to ride the bus to Johnson Creek at 608-585-2311. The buses will leave Ithaca Friday afternoon promptly at 4:30 PM. All riders are responsible for the cost of admission to the game. There will be NO charge to ride the bus thanks to area sponsors: Simpson's Tractor Inc, Clary Memorial Funeral & Cremation Service, Manning Farms, and Oakwood Fruit Farm.

SUPPORT THE LADY BULLDOGS!!!! WIAA Volleyball Sectional tickets are available for presale in the district office from 12:30-5pm today and 7:30-12 tomorrow. Tickets are $7. Doors will open at 6pm for the Sectional Volleyball game. Each school is allotted the same amount of tickets for presale. The Ithaca WIHA Team wrapped up their successful season this past weekend at State WIHA in Madison. Team members Maggie Kershner and Ellie Otto represented our school extremely well and earned top placings in several classes, including a top finish in 2-person relay.
