
Students from several area high schools recently were announced as the Black Hawk Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizens for 2019. Among the winners was our own Diego Ortiz, son of Kris Fry. Diego was one of nine winners. State Regent, Judy Mason, stated that receiving the Good Citizen Award is like getting a gold star. "It is an honor," she said. Congratulations, Diego!


The High School Yearbook staff will be distributing high school yearbooks during ATTACK time in the commons on Thursday, May 23. Any students who have not ordered one, please see Ms. Sprecher as we do have a limited number of extra copies.

The annual March of Dimes, dime collection is next week! Please bring your dimes. We will award prizes for the elementary class that collects the most money. High school and middle school, you will be competing to see which teacher gets a pie in the face. Look for the jars at lunch on Monday.

It's time for the LAST boxtops and labels pick up of the school year! Please send them to school with your elementary aged child by TOMORROW Friday, May 3 or drop off in the bin located outside the office. The PTSO would like to thank you all for your support of this program this year!

The Scholastic BOGO (Buy One-Get One) Book Fair will be here from May 7-17th in the LMC. Come shop from 7:30am-4:00pm. For every book you buy, you will get a book of equal or less value for FREE. Come stock up on books for summer reading at the BOGO Book Fair May 7-17th.


Junior Class: We will be taking all of the decorations over to the White House after school today and will start setting up. Those who can help right after school should come to the band room and help carry everything out to the vehicles. If you can come after sports practices, we will set up as much as we can tonight.

Don't miss out on all the action, so be sure to return the registration form and field trip permission slip with registration fee ($25/student, maximum $50/family) by May 10.

FBLA and Forensics students: You and your parents are invited to join us on Sunday, May 5 at 6:00 p.m. in the commons. We'll celebrate your accomplishments this year with refreshments and the presentation of awards and medals. We hope you will plan to attend!

The Richland Area High School Art Exhibit was held last weekend at UW-Richland. Kayde Koch and Anna Durst had work entered. Congratulations to Kayde Koch for his pastel drawing as one of the 6 works of art for Best of Show! His work will be on displayed at the Red Door Gallery in Richland Center until May 19th if you would like to see his pastel drawing.





So much artistic talent in our building! The annual Ithaca Art Show will be today in the commons from 3:30 until the time of the Ithaca High School Band Concert. Art work from all grades will be displayed in the commons that evening.

Congratulations to the 8th grade VEGG.E Entrepreneur team of Alana Nelson, Elise Newkirk, Talena Sprecher, and Erica Steinmetz for winning FIRST place at the CESA 3 Shark Tank in Potosi yesterday competing against 11 other teams from the area. For their outstanding presentation, they received $1000, a Branding and Design package worth up to a thousand dollars and an offer to be a guest on the Started Up Innovation podcast which is broadcast in 80 countries around the world. The winners are pictured with Don Wettrick, keynote speaker and one of the judges.

Baccalaureate celebrating our graduates has been set for Wednesday, May 29th at 7:30p.m. at the Willow Valley United Methodist Church.

After much anticipation on when the HS Band's latest fundraiser would be delivered, it arrived today! Orders may be picked up at any day in the band room, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

UPDATE for TRACK! It was originally announced that today's Varsity Track meet had been cancelled. That meet has now been moved to Boscobel to be held as planned - now in BOSCOBEL!
At this time, no other Ithaca athletic events have been cancelled or changed.
