As you probably know, many residents at PV have little money to spend and/or few relatives to assist them with purchasing those little things that make everyday living a little nicer.
This is the 15th year that Ithaca School District has collected items for Pine Valley Community Village. Each year, your generous gifts benefit people in our own area. Often these people are past neighbors, old family friends, a relative, or someone we may know who has met with an unfortunate event/ illness that require their life to be supported in an atmosphere where constant and safe care is provided.
As members of the Ithaca School Family, we feel it is important for children to learn to reach out to and aid others who are different or less fortunate than we are. We not only strive to educate your child to the best of our abilities, but we also endeavor to do our part, in developing them into the best human beings possible. We feel the “wish list” project is well worth undertaking yearly and that it demonstrates true kindness and generosity.
You may send gifts at anytime. We will keep them here at school until we make our Christmas visit to Pine Valley the week of December 16th.
At this time, we extend to you, a sincere and heartfelt thank you for any contributions that can be made on your family’s behalf.
Again, thank you!
The Ithaca School Staff
