The Ithaca/Weston wrestling team's season came to an end this weekend. Nolen Waldner and Kayden Coleman both competed at the WIAA state tournament in Madison which sold out for every session for the first time! Kayden fought hard but fell to his opponents from Shiocton and Shell Lake in the opening two rounds. Nolen Waldner came home with a 6th place finish on the podium! He opened up with an 18-3 tech fall over Stanley Boyd. In the quarter finals Nolen lost to his opponent from Cumberland who went on to place 3rd. Once on the consolation side Nolen pinned his opponent from Mineral Point and earned another tech fall over Deerfield. This put him in the 5th place match where he lost a hard fought battle to Bonduel. 📸 Credit: Lisa Clary
