The Junior Class sincerely appreciates all of the community support last night at the Pulled Pork Fundraiser. It was a huge success! They would like to extend a special thank you to Annette Louis and the Maintenance Staff for all of their help. Thank you also to all of the volunteers who donated their time and food for the meal. We could not have done this without you. Thank you also to Mrs. Neimeyer and Mr. Crawford for letting us have the meal before your concerts. It was a wonderful night!

December 13th, 2022 Today is a Day 2 Lunch for today - First Choice: Orange Chix over rice, Second Choice: Polish Sausage/bun, Cowboy Beans, Pineapple, Yogurt, WG Dinner roll, Milk From Mr. Crawford and Mrs. Niemeyer: We are very proud of your hard work and excellent performance at our Winter Concert last night! Thank you students, you are amazing. We’d also like to send a special thank you out to all of Ithaca’s great staff for their support. Merry Christmas everyone! From Ms. Durkin: The Ithaca Student Council is sponsoring a high school door decorating contest between the classes. Each class has a set of gym doors and can decorate their doors any way they would like with the only rule being that supplies must be bought by the class and no supplies taken from the teacher workroom. The decorating may start today and will go up until the end of the day on Wednesday. The doors will be judged and announced during lunch on Thursday. The class winner will get money donated to a wonderful cause in their name! From Ms. Durkin: Every year the Ithaca Student Council hosts an event to raise food for a local battered women's shelter in Richland Center called Passages. This tradition started more than 30 years ago with Bob Pilla, the high school English teacher and the senior class in late 1980s. We've kept this tradition going mainly because the shelter does depend on the generosity of the Ithaca community. We would like to ask the kids to help out and bring in canned goods and non-perishable items like shampoo and toiletries. This friendly classroom competition would start one week before the Christmas break. Each elementary, middle school and high school class will have boxes in designated areas for the kids to bring in items during the week and then tallied and encouraged by representatives of the student council. Each elementary class will have two high school student council reps come in daily to take the boxes and to help encourage the kids. Each class will compete and the class withtthe most boxes raised will get a Pizza Hut Triple Threat party. The class must raise a minimum of 10 boxes of non-perishable goods to be in the competition. Winner will be announced at the end of the day on Thursday! From Ms. Sprecher: The High School FFA is having a meeting today in Ms. Sprecher’s room during ATTACK. From FCA: Fellowship of Christian Athletes will gather on Thur, Dec 15 at 6:15 am. Please join us for an early morning baking Banana Bread together! We invite you to join us and help us bake! We want to be able to give away multiple loaves of Banana Bread this holiday season, especially to those in need. We are asking for help with baking donations. From Coach Miller: There is a sign-up sheet outside the office for 6th-8th grade girls basketball. We will have an open gym on Tuesday, Dec 20th after school until 5:30 in the old gym. At 5:30 we will have a short parent meeting as well. Any girls that want to and are able to go to the high school game can walk up with us as a group afterwards. The School District of Ithaca issues a notice of election to be held April 4, 2023 for School Board members. The date of the spring primary, if needed, is February 21, 2023. Any eligible qualified elector desiring to be a candidate for the office of School Board Member must pick up appropriate paperwork no sooner than December 1, 2022 and file a Declaration of Candidacy and a Campaign Registration Statement with the School District Clerk prior to 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2023 at the District Office at 24615 State Highway 58, Richland Center, WI 53581 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or mailed to the following address - Ithaca School District, 24615 State Hwy 58, Richland Center, WI 53581. From Annette Louis, regarding menu choices for Monday: Due to the weather related school cancellation, Friday’s breakfast (WG Banana Muffin) and lunch choices will be offered tomorrow, Monday, Dec 12th. First choice will be Sloppy Joes and Second choice will be Chicken Strips.

The Ithaca Junior Class pulled pork fundraiser has been rescheduled for Monday December 12, 2022 from 5 PM to 7 PM in the Ithaca School Commons.

Every year the Ithaca Student Council hosts an event to raise food for a local women's shelter in Richland Center called Passages. A tradition started more than 30 years ago with Bob Pilla, the high school English teacher, and the senior class in the early 1990s, this tradition has kept going because the shelter does depend on the generosity of the Ithaca community. Beginning December 15 and continuing until the 22nd, each Elementary, Middle, and High School class will compete against each other by bringing in donations of non-perishable food items or toiletries. Daily count totals will be tallied, and the winning class will receive a pizza party! More information will be coming home to families shortly.

DEADLINE EXTENDED! The Reedsburg boys basketball team is sponsoring a night to honor and generate support for the Huebsch family on January 27, 2023. To raise money for the Huebsch family, the Reedsburg boys basketball teams are selling navy Sport-Tek t-shirts with a green design and will be collecting money during halftime of all the basketball games on January 27, 2023. All money raised will be donated directly to the Huebsch family. The form is linked below or found on the School District of Reedsburg Facebook page. All orders are now due Tuesday, December 13.
