High School and Middle School will run a regular bell schedule today; however, Mr. Herbst will meet with each class throughout the day per the chart below. Students should report to their assigned classes at the beginning of each period; teachers will take attendance and then release students to the band room.

Scholars who are eligible to apply for membership in National Honor Society received an application in the mail over the summer. A digital application was also emailed to your school address today. Please return your applications to Mrs. Zorea in the Library, or to the school office to be placed in her mailbox by Friday, September 6th.

The famous Ithaca PTSO Popcorn Fridays are back for the 2024-25 school year. Thanks to their generosity, various groups will host the sponsored Popcorn Fridays. Keep an eye open here as reminders come out. The first Popcorn Friday will be September 20th, hosted by and benefitting the 2nd Grade.

The School District of Ithaca is seeking a full-time Middle and High School Band/Choir Director for the 2024-25 school year (one position). We are seeking an individual who will engage students to be creative and innovative in their musical pursuits, will plan lessons based on the WI Music Standards, and use the standards to assess student learning. Additionally, this person must be able to maintain a safe, respectful classroom and school environment and make a positive and substantial contribution to the school and district. The successful candidate will: • Incorporate differentiated instructional strategies into lesson planning and lesson delivery; • Develop and build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents; • Utilize evidence-based best practices; • Use assessments to plan, monitor, and assess student understanding; • Collaborate with other professionals; • Experience in or an understanding of the PLC process is preferred; and • Experience and/or understanding of RTI is preferred. Co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities may also be available.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Must possess and maintain or be eligible to hold a current Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction license at the level and the content they are teaching. With school starting very soon, believe it or not Christmas is around the corner and the Ithaca Elf Shop is busy getting ready for our students to start their holiday shopping for family members. Help our little shop by donating decorative items, wall decor, Christmas decor, household items or those special mementos that mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, caregivers or siblings would love. Ithaca Middle School Volleyball will have a sign up/open gym on Tuesday (Aug 20) and Thursday Evening (Aug 22) from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in the Community Gym.
Practice will start on Monday, August 26 at 3:30pm until 5:30pm.

El Comité de Seguridad de las Escuelas Públicas de Ithaca se esfuerza continuamente por mejorar la seguridad de nuestra escuela para nuestros estudiantes, personal y comunidad. Algunas de nuestras iniciativas son organizar clases de certificación de RCP para el personal, evaluar y mejorar los simulacros y ejercicios de emergencia, y colaborar con organizaciones de manejo de emergencias del área.
