Life is precious! Ithaca/Weston Track and Richland Center/Ithaca Cross Country coach, Brenda Walton was a bit late arriving at the regional track meet Monday night because she had just competed in a half-Ironman Triathlon in Chattanooga, TN. By finishing with a qualifying time, Brenda has reached her goal of returning to the World Ironman Triathlon in Nice, France. Brenda returned to the Ironman circuit after training intensively following a heart attack in the fall of 2022 during the run portion of the World Ironman Triathlon in Utah. She was able to get the rapid response she needed to get back at running, biking, and swimming at the level that brings her joy. Brenda has coached generations of athletes, and she has shared her triathlon journey as an inspiration to many. Keep at it, Brenda! https://www.facebook.com/reel/3513245845633204
