The Junior class is excited to bring you a "Night in Hollywood" themed prom held on April 26th from 8-11 PM at the White House in Richland Center. Admission is $10. Prom's Grand March will be held at 9:00 PM on April 26th. Spectators will be allowed to enter the dance at 8:45 PM and will be charged $3. Spectators will be required to leave immediately after the Grand March. Students, please remember that once you leave the prom dance, you will not be allowed to re-enter.

Wisconsin Public School Observance Day, April 22, Environmental Awareness Day marks the anniversary of Earth Day (enacted on April 22, 1970) and urges schools to conduct programs across subject areas to enhance students' understanding of the environment and to promote an ethic of environmental stewardship.

I will be offering Youth for Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) training for any youth needing it. I can train ages 7 -18 years old. If you are showing any livestock at WI State Fair or are selling at the Richland County Fair, you will need to have this training. You can also use this training for 2 points on your Education Requirements sheet for the Richland County Fair. Training will be tomorrow, Wednesday, April 23 at 2 pm - 3 pm. This is an early release day. Go to YQCA to sign up or contact me with any questions.

"Break a leg!" Today we wish our Ithaca High School Forensics team well as the State Festival qualifiers perform in Madison. This year's team is represented at State by Maggie Kershner, Holly King, Maggie Gschwind, Arianna Louis, Alyssa Mueller, Kailey Newkirk, Trista Pluemer, Jadyn Boland, Izzie Ortiz, Abby Plonka, Ally Plonka, Ethan Birkrem, Callie Muckler, Annabeth Sprecher, Aliyah Swenson, Peyton Brown, and Alyssa Olson.


Every year the DAR Good Citizen Program and scholarship contest is awarded to recipients of area schools. The DAR program is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship. The student selected at each school must have an outstanding degree of the following qualities: Leadership, Patriotism, Service and Dependability. This year's recipient from Ithaca is: Tristen Peterson, daughter of Andrew Peterson and Lauren Moe. Congratulations Tristen on being nominated as Ithaca's DAR good citizen.

Congratulations to all the FFA Career Development teams that competed at regionals over the last few weeks. Good luck to our first qualifying team of Horse Evaluation who is competing on Friday at the Midwest Horse fair. Their team was second at UW Platteville regional with Maggie Kershner placing second as an individual and Ari Louis placing 11th. Other teams qualifying for state include: Poultry evaluation - 5th place team with Casey Pomering placing 14th; Veterinary Science - 4th place team with Kaylee Manning placing 14th and Elli Otto placing 15th; Agronomy - 6th place team with Wes Nelson earning top individual placing. Milk Products - 4th placing team with Kerrick Thompson placing 5th, Jacey Maxwell placing 12th and Maylee Pluemer placing 15th
Other top 15 placing individuals include: Keegan Jones 12th in Wildlife, Annabeth Sprecher - 1st at Janesville, 5th at Platteville in Livestock Evaluation; Bailey Wanless - 11th at Janesville in Livestock Evaluation. Great Job FFA teams!
