Parents, if you registered your young writer for the Hidden Valley Reading Council's Young Authors Workshop for students in grades K-5 that was scheduled for June 11th on the UW-Plattevill/Richland campus, that workshop has been cancelled. Registrants should have received an email. Check your spam folder if you missed a notification.
Temporary food benefits for children who usually get free or reduced-price school meals: Since schools are closed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, children who usually get free or reduced-price school meals through the National School Lunch Program can instead get temporary food benefits. These benefits are called Pandemic EBT or P-EBT. Children can get these benefits in addition to any other school meals they are getting.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is automatically providing these benefits to most children who usually get free or reduced-price school meals based on information they have on file. If the Wisconsin Department of Health Services is able to verify your information, the benefits will automatically be provided on your QUEST card if you have one or on a P-EBT card you will get in the mail. You can use these cards like a debit card to buy food. You will get a letter in the mail letting you know if you are automatically getting the benefits. If the Wisconsin Department of Health Services does not have your information or is not able to verify your information, you will need to apply for the benefits. If you have not been notified that you are automatically getting these benefits by May 20, please complete the application at access.wi.gov/s/pebt?language=en_US. You must apply for the benefits by June 30.
It is very important that the information you provide for each child who usually gets free or reduced-price school meals exactly matches the information your school has on file. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services will look at that information to make sure you can get the benefits.
If you apply and your information cannot be verified, please check with us to make sure your information is correct. You can contact us at 608-585-2512. We will work with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to make sure the correct information is on file.

Don't forget TODAY, Friday, May 29th, the building is open from 10am until 6pm for returning homework, Chromebooks, library books, or any other district-owned items. Please pick up elementary and middle school yearbooks, completed art projects, any lost/found items, and Mrs. Zorea has books to take home for elementary students in the gym. If you didn't order an elementary or middle school yearbook, but would like to purchase one, they will be for sale while supplies last at school today (make checks payable to Ithaca PTSO). There will be a link to a YouTube or VidYard video (your choice), showing each student's "Senior Picture" along with future plans, awards and scholarships. Again, that video will premiere tomorrow, Friday May 29 at 9:00 AM.
Did you order a 2019-2020 yearbook? If you ordered an elementary or middle school yearbook, they will be available for pick up this Friday, May 29th in the Commons from 10am until 6pm. They will be labelled with the students' names on them. Students who ordered a high school yearbook have been notified via their school email address of their order status. If anyone would like to purchase a middle school or elementary yearbook, extras are available Friday for $15. Bring your money that day if you'd like one.
SENIORS! Are you coming to graduation taping? We still have not heard from all of you! Don't assume Ms. Durkin knows you're coming unless you have emailed or called her.
June 1st we will be videotaping for virtual graduation that will be aired on June 7th at the time slotted for graduation. YOU MUST BE HERE on June 1st to tape this for the class. We will be breaking up the class in groups for social distancing. Meet in the commons at the time your group is supposed to meet. WEAR YOUR CAP AND GOWN.

Summer is almost here! Do you know where your library books are? Please round them up and return them to the Commons this Friday between 10am and 6pm. There is a large box labeled "Library Books" for you to return them. Keep reading this summer! Utilize SORA, the Brewer Library curbside pick up service, our online Scholastic Book Fair, the free books in the High School gym, or one of the other many options available to you for reading over the summer.
