Dear Teachers,
Thank you. Yet "Thank You" isn't enough.
You nurture and encourage our children. You find new and exciting ways for our children to learn. You smile when our children have successes, and you smile when it's hard. You quietly supply extra pencils, notebooks, hats, mittens, and snacks.
You help our children find ways to be more excited about school. You are a safe person in whom to confide. You help them discover strengths our children didn't believe they had.
You persevere. You show our children how to persevere. You hold our children to high standards and teach them that they can achieve them.
We see you. We are grateful.
Thank you, Ithaca Public School Educators.
