From Coaches Eric Mindham, Connor Fieldhouse, and Brenda Walton:
For the first time in Ithaca’s school history, and 50 years since Richland Center has done it, the Richland Center/Ithaca Boys Cross Country Team have won Conference. Their teamwork, perseverance, and commitment were on full display in Platteville last night. Ithaca High School runners this year are Clayton Lee, Sam Jones, Braysen Garcia-Boland, and Brayden Burns. Sam, Braysen, and Brayden set personal bests last night, and Clayton narrowly missed his. Clayton placed 3rd, Sam 14th, Braysen 18th, Brayden 25th in varsity but was 8th runner on a heavily loaded team, so he placed 1st in the JV scoring.
Individual 1st Team All Conference awards: Owen Drier, Clayton Lee, Ryan Stadler. 2nd Team All Conference honors to: Robert Budden, Sam Jones, Pearl Fretz. Honorable Mention All Conference to: Grace Fretz.
Congratulations to the boys team and to All Conference award winners. Best of luck next Friday at Sectionals!
