From Mrs. Behrens: Attention Band Students: Please remember that you have a band concert tonight, May 13. Make sure you are in the band room and ready to warm up at the times that were listed in the letter that was sent home. Also, a reminder that 7th - 12th grade band students need to wear black and white tonight. Finally, there is a change to what we discussed for setting up in the gym for the concert. You will set up the gym during Attack time today. Mr. McCoy has graciously offered to help set up the gym. 6th - 12th grade Band students should report to the gym to set up during Attack time. Percussion students should carefully move the percussion equipment from the band room to the gym. There is no need for anyone to come at 5:15 to set up.

From Mrs. Pluemer and Middle School Sources of Strength: May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Middle School Students have the opportunity to continue to spread some kindness and boost mental health by participating in a week-long Act of Kindness challenge this week (May 12-16th). Post-it notes will be available to write a positive message or affirmation for a fellow student. If you receive a positive message, pay it forward by writing a message and giving it to someone else (not the person who gave one to you). Our goal is to get a MINIMUM of one positive message to each middle school student by the end of the week, and boost mental health for all of middle school!
From Sources of Strength: In observance of Mental Health Awareness Month, Sources of Strength will be hosting a mental health trivia contest all this week, (May 12th-16th.) Prizes will be awarded to the first class to call into the office with the correct answer each day. Today’s trivia question is: Improving mental health services in low- to medium-income countries is not as costly as some may think. An investment of only how much per capita/person would have a major impact on millions of lives? ($2-4)
ATTENTION! Middle School Student Council: Tuesday May 13 during your lunch there will be a brief meeting in room 104 to vote on the end of the year trip, and plan a time to introduce the current 5th grade to student council.
