Congratulations to the Ithaca/Weston High School Track & Field team on a successful meet last night! They competed at the John D. Young Ridge & Valley Conference Track Meet hosted by Kickapoo. The boys team finished a respectable 3rd to North Crawford who finished 2nd and Kickapoo/LaFarge who won the team title. Results of note are: Peyton Brown 7th in 100m and 5th in the 200m; Ethan Birkrem 5th in the 400m; Clayton Lee 1st and Sam Jones 2nd in the 800m; Lee 1st, Brayden Burns 5th and Luke Osborne 7th in the 1600m as well as the 3200m runs; Braysen Garcia-Boland 3rd in Pole Vault; Birkrem 6th and Lee 7th in High Jump; Jones 5th and Owen Kershner 8th in Long Jump; Deakin McDonough 5th and Conner Montes 7th in Shot Put; McDonough 5th in Discus; 4X200m relay of Roman Riley, Kershner, Montes, and McDonough placed 4th; 4X400m relay of Jones, McDonough, Garcia-Boland, and Brown placed 2nd; 4X800 relay of Birkrem, Burns, Garcia-Boland, and Jones placed 1st. The girls were led by Faith Studnicka with 5th in the Discus and 4th in the Shot Put; Mel Ae with 5th in the 400m and 7th in the 800m; and the 4X100m relay of Studnicka, Ae, Zoey Pasker and Emma Adelman placed 4th. Attention current 8th-11th grade girls volleyball players: There is a sign up sheet outside the office for Sunday Night Summer Volleyball League. Please sign up no later than May 22. There will also be an informational meeting on Friday, May 22 during CAPstone in Ms Master’s room 309 to discuss volleyball events for the Summer and Fall. Please plan to attend this discussion so you are not missing out on important dates and information.

Middle and High School Students: We are looking for Summer School Helpers. This is a great way to get your volunteer hours in. Your breakfast, snack, and lunch are provided. Please let Summer Seehawer or Andrea Newkirk or Mrs. Dilley know if you are interested. Spots are filling up quickly so please let them know right away!

From FFA:
The Ithaca FFA greenhouse is open and full of beautiful flowers. From hanging baskets and decorative pots to a large variety of bedding plants. Stop in during the school day, Saturdays 9 to 3 or by appointment. Thank you for supporting our organization.

From Archery Club:
The Ithaca Archery Club is sponsoring a Spring Turkey Contest this year. Students who successfully harvest a turkey this spring can submit a photo to Mr. Klang at klandav@ithaca.k12.wi.us to be entered. Participants may include details such as beard length, spur length, and weight if they choose, but it is not required. All submitted photos will be displayed near Mr. Klang’s door, and two winners will be randomly selected to receive a gift card.
