pcoenen@ithaca.k12.wi.us MS/HS Principal Greetings,
My name is Paul Coenen and I am very excited to be starting my fourth year as the 6-12 Principal here at Ithaca. My wife, Angie, and I raise and train German Shorthaired Pointers and compete with them through the Midwest in hunt tests. We have been busy all summer and have expanded our K9 family with the addition of Zoe. Having a puppy around has been so much fun and we are looking forward to a lifetime of fun from that little fur bundle. I enjoy bowhunting and Angie and I are passionate bird hunters with our dogs, traveling to Iowa, South Dakota, Kansas, and North Dakota when we can.
I grew up in Brillion, WI, where both my mother and father were involved in education. I carried their passion on to my career in education and coaching. I started as a Technology Education teacher in 1987 and cut my teeth in administration in 2005 at Onalaska High School. After Onalaska I then spent the next 6 years in Hayward, WI as the assistant principal before being hired at Ithaca as the Principal.
I look forward to seeing all the kids throughout the year and continuing what we have started to build. I feel we are on the right road to make Ithaca the greatest school in the state. We've got a wonderful school with great families and I feel privileged to say each day, "It's a GREAT DAY to be a Bulldog!"
